In Memoriam
“It’s been more than a week since our father passed away and as we begin to shift to the realities surrounding his passing, my sister is worried about her future. She created this design in memory of our father and I thought it was a great tribute.
By purchasing this, you are supporting my sister to complete her studies and more importantly; to ease her worries and to show to her that she’s more than capable to support herself with her own talents.”
My older brother had this idea to put my design on a tshirt and wrote all of the lovely copy for this (paraphrased from his Facebook because he got a little mushy and y’all don’t needa read that unless you want to). I’d really appreciate it if you could support this and even if you can’t, a signal boost would be incredibly helpful as well!

It’s a very Greek idea, and a very profound one. Beauty is terror. Whatever we call beautiful, we quiver before it. And what could be more terrifying and beautiful, to souls like the Greeks or our own, than to lose control completely? To throw off the chains of being for an instant, to shatter the accident of our mortal selves?

Silvanus was a Roman tutelary deity of woods and fields. As protector of forests (sylvestris deus), he especially presided over plantations and delighted in trees growing wild. He is also described as a god watching over the fields and husbandmen, protecting in particular the boundaries of fields.
